The crew of the aborted Apollo 13 Moon mission took this photo on 14 April 1970 from a height of 125,000 kilometers, two days before their damaged spacecraft re-entered the Earth's atmosphere. Part of southwestern USA and northern Mexico (with the long finger of the Baja Peninsula) can just be seen through the clouds swirling over the Pacific Ocean.
